July has been busy!

The girls are loving their bikes this summer!

 We entered the girls in a Stampede Road Race this year.  

Here is Elsa stretching before the big race.

 The girls had to run 400 metres.  Elsa ran the first 100 metres, had to be carried 200 metres and then ran the last 100.  She seemed very pumped up by the applause at the finish line!

 Greta ran the whole 400 metres with a little coaxing.  She stopped twice because her legs hurt but she finished the race!

 We're all supposed to stay off the grass for 3 weeks but we couldn't resist giving the girls a little sprinkler fun on a hot, hot day in July.

 Thirty minutes from our house is Sikome Lake in Fish Creek Park.  We met up with Richelle and her three boys for some beach fun yesterday.  Everyone had a blast!

 When I tried to tell Elsa her sunglasses were upside down she very firmly replied "No Mommy!"

FYI - Greta is obsessed with marshmallows and carries them around with her everywhere!
