BP BirthPlace Forest - June 7, 2009

"The BP BirthPlace Forest program, as part of The City of Calgary's Forever Green program, is one of the largest greening initiatives in Calgary's history and the only program of its kind in Canada...by planting trees to honour all babies born in our city, the BP BirthPlace Forests create beautiful spaces and a lasting legacy for all Calgarians for years to come."
When Greta was born we were excited to register her in the program. Her forest is in Fish Creek and 6000 trees were planted in it for 2008 babies.

We picked out this little pine tree for Greta

We think she liked it

Of course we had to indulge in a little Kettle Korn

Greta sure looks like you when you were a baby Lisa. I really like the family poses.

What a great program! Greta can grow up with her tree!
